Students in Mrs. Huckaby’s and Mrs. Gibbons’ classes celebrated with an ice cream party for the highest percentage of PTO membership! We appreciate your support for PTO!





Mrs. McDaniel’s 2nd grade math class was hard at work today using base ten block models to write numbers in word form and expanded form!

Rome City Schools Called Board Meeting for August 22, 2022
ROME, GA— The Rome City Schools Board of Education will hold a called Board meeting on Monday, Aug. 22, at 12:30 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the budget in regular session and to enter executive session for the purpose of personnel, and other items.
The meeting will be held at the Central Office Board Room at 508 East Second Street, Rome, Georgia 30161.

Our students participated in the Great Georgia Pollinator Census today during their STEM classes! This is a citizen science project created by the University of Georgia designed for everyone to make a difference for pollinator conservation! #stem @romecityschools





We are proud to announce that our school has been selected to participate in the PBIS School Kindness Grant Project! Kick off week begins 8/29! Each day we will celebrate by showing our spirit in order to spread even more kindness through the halls of West End.

It’s been a wonderful week in 3rd grade! Mrs. White’s class is enjoying one of her favorite stories!


Our 6th grade students had the opportunity to participate in the Georgia 4-H Virtual Lego Challenge. Several West End students chose to compete. Look at their creations for the theme: Rooted in Agriculture. Results will be out soon. #stem #likeawolf🐺 @romecityschools





We kicked off our “Read Like A Wolf” nightly reading program with a special visit from Mrs. Reid and Willie the Wolf! Students can earn great prizes and even a field trip to see the Rome Braves by reading 20 minutes each night! Let’s put Dr. Drummond on the roof for a day!
